My writing expertise includes assisting four college presidents with speechwriting, testimony, reports, opinion pieces and blog posts; my own freelance pieces have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, McSweeney’s and Bethesda Magazine. I have fifteen years experience helping college students tell their stories through compelling testimony presented to elected officials.

I hold a B.A. from Wake Forest University (English major, Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society) and a Master’s of Public Policy from the University of Maryland (Sexton Public Service Fellowship).
Services Offered
Articles, Speeches, Reports, and Opinion Pieces: I’ll determine the project scope, conduct research and interviews, prepare and fact check drafts, and do a final edit after client feedback.
Editing: We all benefit from feedback and a second set of eyes on our work. I read student and professional work and offer my suggestions for improvement.
Strategy and Advocacy Messages: We can work to ensure you or your organization are seen and heard; we’ll explore social media tools, grassroots advocacy and legislative paths — and we’ll craft a message that people remember.
